About Us

Greetings, and welcome to HotHaus Drag. We are a collective of Drag Performers and Artists from all across the UK currently performing in Chelmsford, Essex, and London. HotHaus began after Essex-Queen Kenzie Blackheart received word from someone at their day job about a venue wanting to host a Drag night. Naturally, Kenzie instantaneously got in contact with the venue to arrange the first show, and after months of planning and a lockdown to get through, the debut HotHaus show took place at HotBox Live in Chelmsford on the 8th of July 2021.

We aspire for HotHaus to be a home and safe space for not only all of our insanely talented performers but also for all of you Drag lovers, regardless of any identities. As we say during our shows; ‘HotHaus operates an environment built upon equality to everyone, love, respect, consent and the enjoyment and safety to have a good time’.

At the beginning of 2022, we were honored to be finalists in the 2022 Panic Awards under the category ‘Best Regular Night Of The Year’. To have achieved such a thing in less than a year of operation is beyond incredible!

In 2023, we had the honour to host our own stage at Poptasia Festival in Basildon. On top of showcasing our regular HotHaus Family, we also got to bring out ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ Legends - Cheryl Hole & Tia Kofi. Our stage was a roaring success, with many people telling us our’s was ‘by far the best tent in the festival’.
